The Stoughton Public Library Board of Trustees is currently accepting applications for trustees to serve terms beginning in May 2025.
Established in 1901, the Library’s Board of Trustees comprises nine voting members appointed by the mayor and empowered by state statute to provide administrative and financial oversight, set library policies, and hire the library director. An advisory, non-voting student trustee is also appointed by the Board each year.
The Board meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM, with the Board’s four standing committees meeting as needed. Each member is required to serve on at least one committee.
